juliette de bairacli levy
one of my top favorites herbalists died yesterday, juliette de bairacli levy. she was someone i admired greatly and wished i could have met. may she be at peace.
oh my gosh kristine! thanks for letting us know! awww i too wish i could have hung out with juliette. her book natures children is one i refer to often. she was an awesome woman and a great example to all budding herbalist, including myself. my what an interesting, long, useful and i dare say, so wonderful life she had! thanks for sharing hugs :)
Yesterday my wife found "Herbal Handbook for Farm and Stable" in a garage sale and got it for me. naturally I googled the name to learn more, just in time to find the lady is dead. Woof, what timing! I would love to have met her or apprenticed under her... I would have happily been her apprentice! sigh. I guess we all have to carry on her message, eh?

ReplyDeleteWow, I pulled out one of her books to look something up about 5 minutes before I read this. What a loss to the world. Thank you for posting this.
